Cherry Clafoutis with Crème Fraîche

1 pound cherries, pitted

1 cup milk

Vermont Creamery Crème Fraîche
¼ cup

¼ cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons kirsch, if desired

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 large eggs

¾ cup all-purpose flour

Directions
- Heat oven to 425ºF.
- Butter and flour baking dish. Scatter half of cherries into dish.
- Whisk together milk and crème fraîche, granulated sugar, eggs, kirsch, vanilla and salt until smooth. Whisk in flour; transfer to blender. Blend until no lumps remain.
- Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Arrange remaining cherries evenly on surface. Bake 30-32 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean and clafoutis is golden brown and puffed up. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
